Books – Money, Investing & Personal Growth

Books You Must Read

Do you know one thing most successful people have in common? No, not their money, they read books. They read a lot of books. As nice as it is to binge-watch Netflix from time to time – do not make it a habit.

Mr Warren Buffett is quoted as saying when asked about success.

“Read 500 pages like this every day. That’s how knowledge works. It builds up, like compound interest. All of you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will do it.”

If that’s not enough to get you reading I do not know what is.

The 4-Hour Work Week – Tim Ferriss

How to be the digital nomad you always dreamed of. Don’t wait until you are old to retire, do it now. A blinding brilliant read, one of the first books I read when starting my own journey.

Do not skip this one. An eye-opening read into what is possible with the help of the internet. Pick up a copy now from Amazon .

The Millionaire Next Door – Thomas J. Stanley

This one is very interesting. Do you think you know what a millionaire looks like? Think again, the vast majority of America’s millionaires (it is a an American book) are your neighbours down the street.

Having built their wealth via normal jobs and consistent investing. Living within their means.

It really makes you think. The goal is to be rich not look rich remember. Pick up your copy now from Amazon.

You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life – Jen Sincero

Most of us can relate to this book. We know we can do better, we know we should be pulling in more money.

An inspiring look into how we all can start being badasses. Start building the life you always dreamed of having.

With lots of humour thrown in, this is a crowd-pleaser no doubt, I could not put it down. Pick up your copy now from Amazon.

Rich Dad Poor Dad – Robert T. Kiyosaki

Rich Dad Poor Dad is a number 1 seller for a reason. It goes against the grain.

It stirs things up. It uncovers the difference in mindset not material wealth between the classes.

An easy read and one that will continue to sell for another 20 years. Pick up your copy from Amazon.

Getting into the habit of reading will do you the world of good. Even if it is just one book a month to get you going.

Building knowledge over time, the same as a portfolio is one of the best investments you can make in yourself. Any of the books above would be a great first step into the wonderful world of reading.
